This SOMA, San Francisco start-up, allows multiple people to communicate through corporate Twitter accounts and stay in sync while doing so. No dropped balls, no stepping on each other's toes. We are currently searching for a Sr Ruby Engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Ruby Engineer will be responsible for building and scaling successful high-traffic web services using technologies such as Ruby, RoR, Metal/Rack/Sinatra, ActiveRecord, and memcached. Experience with Erlang, Amazon Web Services, message queueing will also be utilized.
Experience:
Expert knowledge of Ruby, RoR, Metal/Rack/Sinatra, ActiveRecord, and memcached is required.
Previous experience with Erlang, Amazon Web Services, message queueing architectures and/or developing SaS APIs is preferred.
Familiarity with agile methods, git, and continuous integration is a plus.
Excellent communications are a must.
The ability to problem solve and architect elegant solutions to complex and unusual technology challenges is critical to the success of this candidate.
Previous experience and passion for working for innovative start-ups is ideal.
