Downtown Toronto-based interactive shop is seeking an experienced Senior Developer for a on-site 3 month contract starting immediately.

You should have 3+ years of experience and strong knowledge of design patterns, and web standards. You want to work in a challenging and dynamic environment and be part of a team that’s driven to succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with project teams in an Agile workflow to develop and execute engaging and usable interactive experiences.
• Develop standards compliant and usable websites and contribute to site documentation.
• Participate in project processes, contribute to project completion and be accountable to deadlines.

Requirements:

• Advanced hands-on knowledge of: JavaScript, AJAX (jQuery), XML, (X)HTML, CSS.
• Strong working knowledge of classic ASP.
• Advanced knowledge and commitment to developing semantic, standards compliant markup
• Experience developing for cross platform/browser compatibility & accessibility
• Experience with object oriented programming methodologies
• Experience working with source control systems (SVN)
• Proficiency using Adobe Photoshop

Required Soft Skills:

• Able to multi-task and prioritize.
• Self-directed, proactive and accountable problem solver.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid analytical thinking.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of other server-side technologies (ie. Java, PHP, JSP, MySQL, etc)
• Knowledge of Unix, Linux
