We require a Senior Web Developer to develop additional new features and maintain the company's online products. The person would be working in a highly agile development process with weekly releases and would be challenged by complex software problems and online systems with over a million users.
The role offers significant exposure to top management of the company as well as to commercial aspects of the business, and the person will be able to see the impact of his/her work on users across an entire region of the world almost immediately.
Main responsibilities:
• Design, develop and enhance a highly scalable online product on a LAMP platform
• Analyze functional requirements and specifications through close interaction with Product Management and other team members
• Manage weekly releases on to a live environment
• Deal with scaling issues, such as database optimization, performance diagnosis and monitoring
• Provide leadership, coaching and supervision to more junior team members
Candidate profile:
The ideal candidate would possess:
• 3-6 years of development experience
• Experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Full knowledge and experience of Software Development Lifecycle
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and required quality standards
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
