User Experience Engineer

Position overview: The User Experience Engineer will report directly to the VP of Engineering and will be an experienced front-end designer/engineer who is detail-oriented, energetic, and unafraid of trying new things. The ideal candidate will understand user-centered design, interaction experience, and the importance of aesthetics. This position involves not only design, but also engineering.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Designing the aesthetic elements and interaction experience for the Centrifuge web-based product suite
•Turning designs into working prototypes and commercial quality implementations
•Designing processes and tests to facilitate better user experience and validation of that user experience
•Working with CTO, VP of Engineering, Chief Architect, Director of Product Management and others to help shape product vision
Qualifications:
•Demonstrated experience designing user interfaces for complex web-based products
•Strong interaction design sense in addition to visual/graphic design skills
•Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience with front end web technologies such as AJAX, DHTML, Adobe Flash/Flex (ActionScript/MXML), JavaScript, CSS, and XML
•Ability to create mockups and working prototypes as well as commercial quality implementations
•Demonstrated organization and communications skills
