Nielsen is looking for a Sr Java Developer to join the Innovation Delivery Organization (IDO). As a part of the IDO team you will be an integral part of a high energy team that is revolutionizing the way that Nielsen delivers value to both its customers and to Nielsen.
As a Nielsen developer, you will be hands-on, and will be expected to bring new and fresh ideas to the company and its solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with other developers and architects in creating solutions that meet business requirements to ensure data and application integrity in our Answers™ On-Demand environment. Answers is an intuitive, web based, Business Intelligence solution that empowers users to gain market insights, share information, and take action to drive profitable results.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of IT experience with 4+ years in software development.
- Expert ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex design and coding problems.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more software development and proficiency in the use of utilities, batch processing, online processing, and n-tier processing.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more file access methods and database management systems.
- Expert knowledge of the appropriate operating systems and communication interfaces.
- Expert understanding and the ability to apply software design and testing principles.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, across project teams, and independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Flex Development background a big plus.
Education
Bachelors degree or related work experience.
