My Client is a major media company located in NYC. They are looking to move into the Web 2.0 space and will use Flex (AS3) as a means to accomplish their goal of providing their users with a rich internet experience (RIA). They are looking for a senior UI developer with a strong object oriented (OOP) background. Candidates that come from a high-traffic media environment will be well suited for this role.

Below is a short job description:

-6 month contract to hire role
-Strong (4+ years) *** Object Oriented UI *** development experience
-Knowledge of full SDLC (software development life cycle)
-Expert level RIA development skills (Flex / Flash + AS3)
-Desktop UI development (AIR + AS3)
-Candidate should have a strong knowledge of JavaScript / AJAX
-Strong comfort level with server side OOP such as J2EE
-Comfortable with back-end interaction (Oracle, MySQL)
