Senior Flex Developer
at Media Firm in New York City
Our client, a major media company, seeks a Flex Developer to assist with the development of content management applications for our client’s web sites. Additionally, this person should have experience Skinning in a Flex environment.The candidate will participate in the efforts toward the architecture, software development, support, maintenance and upgrade of their new FLEX based content management system.
This position requires regular interaction with business, editorial, production, marketing, design and project management factions of the internet organizations. The successful candidates will have an understanding of the Pure MVC framework. Those resources who only want to work in Carnigorm need not apply. Additionally, you must be a hands on developer. This role is not suitable for a candidate that wants to be a lead. The right person must be willing to be a hard core, hands on developer and be flexible to working in a team environment. Flex development and Skinning are the two biggest keys to success for this role
Required Skills:
· 2+ years of professional Flex development
· Strong knowledge of Flex 2.0.1
· Knowledge of ActionScript 3
· Knowledge of the PureMVC Framework
· Experience with Flex Modules
· Experience utilizing Adobe Life Cycle Data Services (LCDS)
· Knowledge of OOP programming concepts
· Experience with Java and J2EE, Tomcat & JBOSS a plus
· Experience with Flex 3, Flash development and Quick Test Pro and Flex Automation
· Familiarity with Flex performance testing on multiple browsers & operating systems
· Experience with JSON
· Strong working knowledge of JavaScript and XML a plus
· Experience with content management systems (CMS) a plus
· Professional experience in architecting, developing and web-based applications under a Java-based application server platform
· Knowledge and experience with open-source applications, utilities and frameworks
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· BA or BS degree in Computer related field
