UI/UX Designer-Developer
at Stealth Startup (Anywhere)
We're a seed-funded stealth startup seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer/Front-End Developer to create a stellar user experience for our web application. You will be part of a small virtual team bringing new technologies to an established/profitable market. Your main responsibility will be creating an enjoyable and intuitive user experience for our feature-packed app. Your ideas about workflow and interaction design will help drive the success of our beta launch and beyond.
You Will:
- Prototype layouts for the front end and admin portions of our app
- Translate your designs into standards-based XHTML/CSS/JS
- Use jQuery to streamline the user experience
- Handcode clean, beautiful and maintainable JS when needed
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility
- Maintain your code in Github
- Test and improve your ideas constantly
You'll Need:
- Three or more years experience in UI design and front-end development
- A keen eye for color, typography, graphic design, and illustration
- The ability to translate complex interactions into clean, minimal design
- The ability to integrate UI design skills with technical development skills
- Experience with jQuery or other leading javascript frameworks
- Total comfort with fast-paced iterative design and development
- The ability to consistently deliver within a virtual team
- Loads of determination, independence, and self-discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Pluses:
- Familiararity with PHP
- Experience working in virtual teams
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
