Java Flex developer (NYC)

Position Type: Contract or Fulltime
The Role:
We are currently in-search for (6) experienced Sr. Java Flex Developers to work in a fast-paced environment in order to help us design and implement products that will revolutionize the way people analyze an up and coming data industry. The ideal candidate will know how to employ standard tools to launch a successful, robust website from scratch. Candidates are expected to be immediately effective using both Java and Flex, including how the Flash Player virtual machine works. Experience in Flex 3 (or greater) is preferred but strong Flex SDK 2 candidates with working knowledge of Flex 3 are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications:
• Experience with Java
• Expert level working knowledge of ActionScript, Flex 3.0 and later, Flash Player
• Experience building web products from the ground up, including but not limited to SEO, widely used IPC technologies, and data caching techniques in a service oriented architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Design Patterns
• Strong communication skills
