Perl/ PHP Developer

Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 3 months +
Phone, then face to face
Sr. Perl Developer with PHP
extensive knowledge of Perl and PHP.
experience writing efficient production level code.
working knowledge of the entire lamp(Linux, apache, mysql, php) stack.
Role: The project is upgrading all production code to perl 5.8.8, mod_perl2 and Apache
General requirements:
• Goal oriented.
• Able to produce production quality code
• Assume full ownership of each task
• Great communication skills
• Proven record of past projects.
Requirements and Skills:
• CS degree or equivalent, 3+ years building complex web applications
• Senior Software Developer with some system administration experience.
• Senior-level programming and design skills
• Senior-level analytical and problem-solving skills
• Perl, apache 2 + mod_perl 2, Template Toolkit, DBI
• Mysql – experience writing DDL and SQL
• Development on a Linux platform (CentOS 5 or equivalent)
• Experience with Linux installation and configuration
• Experience deploying clustered Web applications
data migrations is a plus.
Working knowledge of EC2 is a plus
