Avocent is forming a new software application product team at its Huntsville location. The adoption of virtualization and visualization technologies converges with power management needs to create a strategic opportunity for this next generation management product.

The Web / User Interface Developers have responsibility for designing and developing the UI portion of the software application.
And other duties as assigned or needed.
Experience and Skills:
* Professional with a superset of the skills of a Web and Java developer and proven experience (3+ years) designing and developing software applications. * Experience with manipulating graphics for web-based visualization and graphics rendering. * Fundamental knowledge of MVC as employed in web application architectures. * Understanding of drag and drop capability for web apps. * Experience with agile development practices. * Experience with Flash/Flex a plus. * A 4 year BS degree in a technical discipline, or related degree, is preferred.Additional Information:
