Accelerate your career as a Java/Flex Architect with a rare opportunity to do bleeding edge design work for an in-house real-estate research team at a premier news and media firm.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment creating and enhancing new functionality, integrating data from various systems, and helping design and implement new products for research analysts and lawyers. You will be functioning as a team lead, anchoring the group’s development efforts.

Candidates are expected to be proficient in Flex development and how the Flash Player virtual machine works. Experience in Flex 3 (or greater) is preferred but strong Flex SDK 2 candidates with working knowledge of Flex 3 are encouraged to apply. Intimate knowledge of the code base is necessary. Understanding of how Flex fits into the overall software architecture.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Expert level working knowledge of ActionScript, Flex 3.0 and later.
• Experience with FlashPlayer
• Experience in PureMVC, Cairngorm, Mate or similar micro-architecture framework (Ideally more than one).
• Working experience with LiveCycle Data Services (LCDS), BlazeDS, WebOrb or other AMF remoting framework (Ideally more than one).
• Strong Java development and architecture skills.
• 5-7+ years of core Java development experience and architecture – Java (1.5 or higher)
• 3-5 years of web development experience in a Java environment.
• Experience with Java Web Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate)
• Experience with RDBMS/ SQL Development
• Strong knowledge of Design Patterns
• Strong communication skills.
