Position Title: Flex Developer
Reports to: Sr. Manager, IT eCommerce
Location: Home Office – New Albany, OH
Position Summary
The Flex Developer is responsible for translating design mock-ups and motion concepts into fully functional Flex applications utilizing common design patterns and object oriented methodologies. As a member of the project team, the developer will be responsible for application analysis, design, coding, testing, documenting, and maintaining as well as upgrading existing applications. The developer will work closely with the design team to ensure their vision is accurately represented in the final product.
Responsibilities
•Technical design and implementation of internal and internet facing Flex applications / RIAs
•Take design and motion concepts and effectively translate them into a working Flex architecture.
•Utilize common design patterns to solve implementation challenges.
•Mentor less experienced team members.
•Ensure all changes are properly documented, planned, tested, and approved prior to being moved into production.
•The candidate must be adaptive to the use of new software aids and programming techniques as they are required or adapted in IT.
•Acquire and maintain additional technical skills for professional development.
•Ensure work meets functionality and quality expectations within given timelines.
Qualifications
•Minimum 4 year degree required (IT related field preferred)
•Minimum 2 years experience in web application and/or RIA development
•Experience designing and developing Adobe Flex components, applications and RIAs
•Experience implementing Cairngorm application framework (preferred)
•Experience integrating Flex applications with web services
•Experience integrating media designed in Flash into Flex (preferred)
•Knowledge of object oriented design
•Knowledge of Actionscript 3.0
