Description: Experienced Adobe ColdFusion developer to provide application development and technical support for internal and external websites; works under general supervision; performs additional duties as assigned.
Principle Duties/Responsibilities: Provides Adobe ColdFusion application development and technical support for internal and external websites in support of the NATO SOF Coordination Center. Maintains and continually develops web environment in conjunction with customer requirements. Should be able to design, develop, code, and document robust Adobe ColdFusion-based production and dissemination environment(s). Prepares functional specifications programs and then designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs. Participates in the technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of website enhancements. Plans, and conducts systems tests, monitors test results, and takes appropriate corrective action. May prepare technical user guides. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Requires three or more years of full time development using Adobe ColdFusion 7 or 8, MS SQL Server 2000/2005, Eclipse-based development experience, or Dreamweaver, Fireworks or Photoshop, CSS, Javascript/Actionscript, and XML. Also very desirable is experience in Adobe Flex 2/3. Experience in one or more of the following will also be considered: Ajax, Flash, Web Services. Ability to work well and integrate into a small team environment. Adobe ColdFusion Certified applicants given preferential consideration. Samples of work and/or URLs to be requested upon interview.
15% travel requirement. Full State Department Cost of living allowance provided in addition to salary.
