Flex Software Engineer
at Sprout in Honolulu, San Fran, East Coast, anywhere
The development of innovative and high quality software is central to the success of Sprout. Along with certain technical qualifications, as a Sprout Software Engineer you also possess certain functional, self-management and interpersonal skills that qualify you for the role.
You possess total mastery of one or more modern, object-oriented programming languages such as AS3, Java and C++. You use these languages to construct software that meets the architectural and quality standards set forth by the company and use established software engineering principles in the design, development, testing and versioning of created work. You are highly experienced in the construction of object-oriented Flash-based applications using the Abode Flex SDK and related tools. You understand web architecture and build internet-based software using HTML, HTTP, XML, and CSS. You also possess an understanding of relational database technology and are familiar with the Scrum Agile Methodology.
A Sprout Software Engineer is innovative by nature. You enjoy solving problems, you are driven and you take pride in your work. You have the ability to think and work independently, make deadlines with little supervision—put another way: "You get stuff done." You document major additions and functional changes to created work. You enjoy mentoring those seeking your guidance. You use your sense of humor to make the work environment more enjoyable.
