Contract to hire
Position Objective:
As a Sr. RIA Web Programmer/Analyst, this person will work as a member of the development staff creating the Emerge application. This person will be working on graphic-intensive Flash, Flex and AIR applications. Proven expertise in writing bug-free, robust object-oriented ActionScript 2.0 or 3.0 required. Applicants with knowledge of Flex 3 / AS3 are strongly preferred. Experience with JavaScript, AJAX, HTML and CSS. Proficiency with server-side technology using .Net, and relational databases such as SQL or MySQL is an asset. Work closely with design/art team.
This person will work as part of a development team that includes business unit representatives and software engineers to create and implement functional and technical requirements. This person must be creative and able to solve routine programming problems, determines appropriate solutions and spend at least 80% of their time writing or maintaining application program logic.
Required Skills:
· Must have a working knowledge of three or more of the following or equivalent technologies in addition to Flex, Flash and ActionScript: HTML, SQL, ASP.Net, C#, XML, and Object Oriented Programming.
· Troubleshoot issues with existing systems, and work with the appropriate resources to resolve them.
· Possess debugging skills to resolve technical issues that arise from software design and implementation or commercial product bugs and instabilities.
· Consults with team members and users to gather requirements, identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
· This job requires at least four years of web-based software development and object-oriented programming.
· Requires a bachelor's degree, technical certification or equivalent experience.
