Hark Solutions are looking for a self-motivated, forward-thinking associate to take part in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with a local University to develop a cutting edge, rich internet software application.
Working with global brand names including Sony, LG Electronics, Levi Strauss and Timberland the objective is to introduce and embed structured design methodologies based on evolving Hark’s proprietary software program Atomium.
Essential areas of experience will be Actionscript and associated web programming technologies such as Web services, XML schemas and transforms, plus an interest in developing these skills in the area of rich internet applications using Adobe Flex and Air.
An appreciation of the full software development life cycle and experience of software development methodologies are also very important. This role will initially involve some part of the decision-making process about the software architecture, technologies and methodology to be adopted, and will finally cover all areas of the development life cycle through from requirements capture to testing, documentation, product validation and launch.

As well as technical capability, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate high quality verbal and written communications skills in the English language, an organised and pro-active approach to their work, and an outgoing manner which mixes easily with staff of other disciplines, e.g. senior management, project managers, marketing, sales etc.
