User Interface Engineer
Emforium Group develops enterprise software for the small business market. Its comprehensive solution is designed to be simple to use and help automate many aspects of the business. Position Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for application user interface development using a combination of flex, dynamic html and style sheets.
The candidate should have a passion for application usability and clean/maintainable software design.
The candidate will need to work with interaction designers and customers to influence overall end user interface experience.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in developing web user interfaces
- 2+ years of working with scripting languages or backend technology. (JSP, ASP, Velocity etc.)
- 2+ years working with front end scripting tools (JavaScript, ActionScript, DHTML etc.)
- Must be an expert developer in at least one programming language
- Engineering graduate from a reputed university
- Good writing skills for producing developer-level documentation of designs
- Ability to develop a QA plan to validate front end application.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Flex experience is a big plus
- Open source development experience is a big plus
- Sufficient server side experience to appreciate how a web front end connects to server side databases in a multi-tier application
- Knowledge of JavaScript and AJAX techniques a plus
