Senior Flex & Java Engineer
Early stage consumer music/social gaming startup is looking for a mid to senior level software engineer with strong server side skills and Flex experience to join our growing team. The company is angel funded and launching publicly this Fall. We have developed a really exciting social music platform for teens.
So come work in a fast paced startup environment where the team is creating something special and have a lot of fun doing it. Not a shop for the faint of heart or hobby coder, but for those with serious skills and definite passion. You will have a chance to develop highly visible, game changing audio tools and rich interactive applications for teens. A passion for music and/or digital entertainment is a real plus here.
Our ideal candidates have proficient expertise in their particular development areas with experience in using Flex, Java, Spring, Hibernate, Blaze DS, and Flash Media Server. Any experience with audio development a special bonus. Additionally, we will be doing some iPhone development and this candidate can get their hands dirty here as well.
For the right person, this role could grow into a management/CTO role over time.
Experience Level
o 4+ years Flex + Java experience
o Experience developing media rich consumer applications
o Experience working with startups a major plus
Skills
Server side experience using Spring framework, Hibernate, Java, BlazeDS, Flash Interactive Media Server
Caringorn and other MVC frameworks
Strong understanding of Object Orientation
Strong understanding of memory management and Flex component architecture
Experience with Facebook api integration
Background with C++, Objective C or Java
PHP, MySQL is a bonus
Strong grasp of design concepts and usability
Education
Engineering/Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
